Why is the interview taking place?

The company is interested to get to know you and your technical skills better to see if you will fit a specific position
- • It is best if you already understand how this position matches your interests and why you are a good match for it and the company before you sit down at the interview
- Be ready to both answer and ask questions. During the tech interview, it is good to show curiosity about both the technical skills required for the role and the environment you use them in.
  - Ask about the team, the culture, and any other questions to get details on parts of the job that are most important to you.

Technical expertise, e.g your fundamentals, your ability to apply S.O.L.I.D. principles in your code

They will be interested in your understanding and knowledge of certain concepts and how you think/handle the situation - especially when presented with a new challenge.

- Personal fit (does your conversation style work well with the rest of the engineering team)
Communication skills:
- To think about problems, make a lot of clarifying questions (think out loud) and change your point of view based on new inputs.
- Willingness to share technical opinions. Do you know how to pick your battles? To listen as well as speak your mind?
- Being able to communicate how or why you have done something.
- Make your thought process clear.
